Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil, derived from the seeds of the jojoba plant, is a versatile and nourishing oil used widely in Korean skincare. Its structure closely mimics the skin's natural sebum, making it an excellent moisturizer that balances oil production and hydrates without clogging pores.

Benefits of Jojoba Oil: Is packed with vitamins E and B, as well as antioxidants and essential fatty acids that deeply nourish the skin. Its lightweight, non-comedogenic nature makes it perfect for balancing sebum production, making it a great option for both oily and dry skin types. It helps to soothe inflammation, repair the skin barrier, and retain moisture, leaving the skin soft, smooth, and hydrated. Jojoba oil also has anti-bacterial properties, making it beneficial for acne-prone skin, while its antioxidant content protects the skin from environmental stressors.

Ingredients That Work Well with Jojoba Oil: Pairs beautifully with other moisturizing ingredients like ceramides, hyaluronic acid, and squalane. Together, they enhance hydration and reinforce the skin barrier, preventing moisture loss. Jojoba oil also works well with calming ingredients such as aloe vera and Centella Asiatica, creating a soothing, balanced routine ideal for sensitive or acne-prone skin.

Ingredients to Avoid Mixing with Jojoba Oil: Jojoba oil is gentle and works well with most ingredients. However, it’s best to avoid combining it with strong active ingredients like high-concentration retinoids or exfoliating acids (AHAs/BHAs) in the same routine, as these can sometimes overwhelm the skin and counteract its soothing properties. Alternating their use can help maintain a balanced skincare routine without compromising jojoba oil’s calming and moisturizing effects.
